Sprag Motorcycle One Way Clutch Bearing Overrunning Clutch FWD332211PRS
Features of FWD Series motorcycle Starter One-way Clutch:
One-way clutch, commonly known as overrunning clutch, is composed of outer race, inner race, cage, Wedges etc. When the inner race is fixed, turning the wedge counterclockwise on the outer race does not locked, the outer race can rotate freely; when the outer race is rotated clockwise, the wedge is locked, the outer race cannot turn. The function of the cage is to keep the wedges always facing the locking outer race. The direction is slightly inclined to strengthen the locking function of the wedge.
One-way clutches have two forms of motion:
1. Torque transmission or engagement (wedge)
2. Idling or transcendence (liberation)
The one-way clutch has the following functions:
A. Overrunning Clutch
When the speed of the power output part (inner ring or outer ring) of the one-way clutch is higher than that of the power source (outer ring) or inner ring) is still fast, the clutch is in a disengaged state, and there is no linkage between the inner and outer rings. This is called the one-way overrunning function of the one-way clutch.
B. Indexing Clutch
Convert the linear reciprocating motion into the circular stepping motion of the rotating shaft, which is called a one-way clutch indexing function of the device.
C. Backstop Clutch
Use of one-way clutches for material conveying equipment (eg belt conveyors, bucket elevators) etc.) to prevent the device from backing up or reversing when there is no power source. One-way backstop function.
Basic form:
1. Roller type one-way clutch
2. Wedge type one-way clutch
3. Non-contact one-way clutch
Application:
Primarily used in motorcycle starter.
